About this website:

Welcome to Nick Clayton Wildlife Photography a collection of wildlife images captured by myself. All photographs on this site are of wild species taken in my home county of Lincolnshire, Britain and holidays abroad. Most of the images are of Birds but I also enjoy photographing other types of wildlife with a particular interest in Butterflies and Dragonflies. I hope you enjoy your stay.

About me:

I first became interested in bird photography in 1991 and purchased a Canon camera and Sigma lens, I was fortunate that I lived in Norfolk, arguably the best county in the UK for birdwatching. The following five or six years I photographed birds almost exclusively in Norfolk with a particular interest in rarities, during this period I had pictures published in Birdwatch, Birdwatching, British Birds, Birding World and The Norfolk Bird and Mammal Report.

In 1996 I moved to Lincolnshire and apart from the occasional excursion gave up bird photography.

In early 2007 I took up the lens again due mainly to the convenience of digital photography, my interests have expanded to include other wildlife with the addition of macro photography. Most of my photography is carried out in Lincolnshire with occasional trips to other countries and counties such as my old haunt of Norfolk.
